A fresh approach to our People First Awards in 2025

We are proud to place our people at the heart of everything we do. Every day, our colleagues go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and create a positive and collaborative work environment. This is why we established the People First Awards – to celebrate our extraordinary individuals who make a lasting impact within our business.

A New Approach to the People First Awards

For many years, we’ve combined the People First Awards with our annual colleague Christmas party. While this was a wonderful way to celebrate, we decided that for 2025, the awards would stand alone for the first time. This change was motivated by three key reasons:

  1. Building Connections Across the Business: We wanted to create another opportunity for colleagues to come together in a different setting, enabling everyone to engage and celebrate with colleagues from across the business in a meaningful way.
  2.  Letting the Party Be What It Is: Our annual colleague party is a cherished occasion to relax, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. By separating the awards ceremony, it means our colleagues don’t have the distraction from their party time.
  3. It’s a Big Deal: The contributions of our shortlisted colleagues deserve a dedicated event. They’ve gone above and beyond, demonstrated exceptional commitment, and make a significant impact to our business – and this recognition deserves to be celebrated in a stand-alone setting.

What an Event It Was!

The evening was nothing short of spectacular. We were thrilled to have our suppliers sponsor the event. Our relationships with them are incredibly important and having them showcase their services at the awards ceremony made the evening even more special. Guests were treated to stunning fruit displays, delicious charcuterie, and wonderful wine – just to name a few of the highlights.

An event filled with laughter, reflection, and, of course, celebration – much of which was thanks to our wonderful MC, Lizzie Bean. Her humour and positivity is truly infectious. It was a chance to honour the incredible individuals: A huge congratulations to our amazing winners.
